Energy Scout

Problem

Homeowners evaluating solar, batteries, and incentives face confusing, fragmented information and struggle to decide what is actually worth it for their home.

My responsibility

Product direction and hands-on building across the homeowner journey, energy research, decision logic, interface, analytics, and testing.

What I designed and built

The current direction is a guided Energy Path: begin with the homeowner's goal, then move through home context, location, bill or quote, and a useful report. Supporting product surfaces include quote checking, incentives, plug-in solar, and backup-battery education.

Who it is for

Homeowners trying to make a clearer solar, battery, incentive, quote, or backup-power decision.

Current direction

The next version is a guided Energy Path that begins with the homeowner’s goal and asks only for the information needed to produce a useful next step. The earlier public site remains live, but this page shows the newer product direction.

Energy Scout guided Energy Path beginning with homeowner goals

Goal → home → location → bill or quote → useful next step. The screen uses a generic empty state and contains no customer data.
